Neoprene Open Ended Timing Belts

Open Ended Belting is offered in metric and imperial pitches, manufactured from both PU (Section 2-1) and neoprene (Section 2-2) materials. Several setups are available to meet various needs for synchronization and specialized purposes like conveying, positioning, metering and more.

Open Timing Belts can be joined endless to required length, either in the workshop or directly on the conveyor. If required, friction-reducing, wear resistant nylon fabric can be added on the tooth side to reduce friction and noise. Fabric can be applied to the belt back as well. This leads to optimizing positioning accuracy, repeatability, and power capability.

PU open timing belts are made of extruded, thermoplastic polyurethane with steel tension cords parallel to the edges. The belts are dimensionally stable and their precise positioning makes them ideal for use in linear drive systems.

Neoprene open-end timing belts are reinforced with fiberglass cord, it provides compatibility with linear drive that need precise positioning for optimal performance.

We provide custom belts made to any desired length using the same extended-length belting. Whether you need a belt that is slightly longer or shorter than standard mold sizes, or a belt that extends several hundred feet in length, we can accommodate your requirements. This option is highly suitable for applications involving synchronized conveying, indexing, automation, and packaging. This process offers the flexibility to manufacture a single piece for prototyping without requiring costly tooling, or to produce large quantities for mass production. We can also attach any of the available backings to the belt.

FAQ

What is an open-ended belt ?

Open ended timing belts are constructed from extruded thermoplastic polyurethane, with tension cords running parallel to the edges. The belts maintain dimensional stability and their accurate positioning makes them well-suited for linear drive systems.

What is Open Timing Belt Drive ?

Open belt drives find extensive use across a range of applications, spanning from machinery and conveyor systems to vehicles. Their reputation for simplicity, ease of maintenance and cost-effectiveness has made them a favored option for systems where precise tension control isn’t essential.

What is the Use of PU Open Timing Belt ?
Polyurethane open-ended timing belts provide significant advantages to the food and beverage sector, especially in applications involving food contact packaging.
